1. The Service

dissemin8ed is an AI-assisted news intelligence platform operated by Atmosphaira IT Corporation ("we", "us", "our"), a corporation incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. The platform aggregates and analyses publicly available news articles from third-party publishers. We do not author, edit, or endorse any third-party article or source.

Headlines, summaries, bias indicators, corroboration scores, topic classifications, narrative arcs, and thread groupings are generated algorithmically and are provided for informational purposes only. They are not editorial judgements and should not be relied upon as such.

2. Accounts

To access subscriber features you must create an account. You agree to:

We use magic-link authentication (one-click email login) and do not store passwords. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address used to register.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are used to circumvent subscription gates.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

3.1 Plans

dissemin8ed offers a free tier and one or more paid subscription tiers ("Subscriber" access). Current plan details and pricing are published on the service's subscription page and may change from time to time with advance notice.

3.2 Billing & Auto-Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. By providing a payment method, you authorise us (via our payment processor, Stripe) to charge the applicable subscription fee on each renewal date.

3.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.

3.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase to active subscribers via email. Continued use of the subscription after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

3.5 Taxes

Prices displayed may be exclusive of applicable taxes (including HST/GST, VAT, or sales tax). You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchase under the laws of your jurisdiction.

4. No Refunds — Service Credits

All subscription fees are non-refundable. There are no cash or partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period, including in cases of early cancellation or account termination for policy violations.

As an accommodation, and at our sole discretion, we may issue service credits in lieu of a refund in the following circumstances:

Service credits are applied to your account and credited against future subscription renewals only. They have no cash value and are non-transferable. Credits expire 12 months from the date of issuance if unused.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection legislation applicable in your jurisdiction that cannot be excluded by contract.

5. Free Tier & Promotional Access

5.1 Free Tier

Free-tier users may access a limited version of the service at no charge. We reserve the right to modify, restrict, or discontinue the free tier at any time with reasonable notice.

5.2 Promotional Codes & Admin-Invited Access

We may issue promotional codes or admin-granted access ("promo access") that unlock subscriber features for a defined period at no charge. Promo access:

5.3 Trials

If we offer a free trial of a paid plan, any unused trial period is forfeited upon subscription to a paid plan. At the end of a trial, your account will convert to the applicable paid plan and you will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account's billing portal (accessible at /v2/auth/portal) or by contacting us at [email protected].

We reserve the right to terminate accounts or subscriptions that violate these Terms, with or without notice, without entitlement to a refund.

7. Acceptable Use

You may use dissemin8ed for lawful personal and professional news consumption. You agree not to:

7.1 Feeds & API

Public RSS/Atom feeds are provided for personal use and non-commercial aggregation. Commercial redistribution of feed content requires prior written consent. Any API access is subject to rate limits and additional terms communicated at the time of access.

8. Third-Party Content

All article content linked via dissemin8ed is the intellectual property of its respective publisher. We index article metadata (headlines, publication date, source name) and link to original sources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites. Visiting linked articles is subject to those publishers' own terms and privacy policies.

9. No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:

Algorithmic outputs (sentiment scores, bias ratings, topic clusters, narrative arcs) are estimates generated by automated systems and are not editorial, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Atmosphaira IT Corporation, its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any:

In any event our aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total subscription fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim, or (b) CAD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions. In such jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

11. Intellectual Property

The dissemin8ed name, logo, branding, software, aggregation methodology, scoring algorithms, and site design are the exclusive property of Atmosphaira IT Corporation or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any licence to use our intellectual property except as strictly necessary to use the service as intended.

Article content belongs to the original publishers. We claim no ownership over third-party content indexed or linked by the service.

12. Privacy & Data

12.1 Data We Collect

When you create an account we collect your email address. For subscribers we collect billing information processed by Stripe. We also collect standard server access logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, click events) for operational and analytics purposes.

12.2 How We Use It

We use your data to provide and improve the service, process payments, send transactional emails (login links, subscription confirmations), and analyse usage. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

12.3 GDPR (EU/UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR:

Our lawful basis for processing subscriber data is the performance of a contract. For analytics and operational logs, our lawful basis is legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected].

12.4 CCPA (California Users)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

12.5 Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Upon account deletion we remove personal data within 30 days, subject to retention requirements imposed by law or for fraud prevention.

13. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes affecting subscribers, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via email or a prominent notice on the service. For non-material changes, the updated Terms will take effect upon posting. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice of significant changes to paid subscribers.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or the service shall first be attempted to be resolved by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration conducted in Ontario under the rules of the ADR Institute of Canada, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Notwithstanding the above, nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights you may have under consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction.
